Art in the Yard: After

Last Saturday I trained my sons in the art of home gardening. Or, I worked them hard because they are cheap labor - however you want to look at it. :D You can see "before" sketches here.

Above is my journal page of the finished project - at least, finished for now. The debate about the final two hedges has yet to be resolved.

Told my sons they needed to use their art skills to help me determine the best way to lay out the rocks.

I'm very proud of how hard my sons worked on this - hauling all those edging rocks from the backyard.

Just as an aside, my oldest son, on the way out to the bus stop this morning said, "Wow, Mom. I just love looking at that rock garden, it makes me so happy."

Thanks Jen. We've had a big rain tonight - no puddle! Yay!
