Something Different

I'm going to try something a little different for a few days, to see how it goes. I'd like to try some new things, see if I can flesh out the ideas that sort of bang around my head. In order to do that, I'm going to try the "painting a day" idea, just to see if I can make some headway. Many people have said that you learn quicker by doing many paintings than taking months to finish one, so I'm just going to try it out.

Above you see my efforts from last night, two quick 3in by 3in CP pieces on vellum.

Nice! Looks like you're off to a good start. A painting a day? Such a brave soul you are!

It's not really brave when it's only 3 inches square and I can quit whenever. :D

But hopefully, I will get the chance to try new ideas and develop them a bit more.

Wonderfully ambitious idea and you already have a great start! Will you be doing all of your 'painting a day' pieces in cp?

Good for you, Rose. That sort of intention gets paintings made and skills learned. I look forward to seeing what you paint!
