Phlox, Ink, and CP experiments

Spring has arrived here in north Texas and I am very happy to say that my phlox survived the snow this winter (and the heat last summer) and appears to be bursting with tender blossoms!

I just ordered some colored inks with my birthday money, I'm hoping to have a play around with them and my phlox references. What fun spring is!

Last night I had a few minutes and decided that I would try doing some different stuff with CPs and pastelbord. Below you see an eye with just simple tones, letting the tinted support show through and then a bit of color with the support showing through. The white, black, and one color shows promise, I think. Using several colors, I think the "showing the tinted support" loses it magic.
