I knew that I'd be busy with my sketch for the virtual sketch date this week (which I can't post until Saturday), so I decided to prepare a few images in advance.
Today is a peek into my "studio". I've recently added the desk so that the computer could sit on it and I could work at an angle on the art table. Watson recommends working at an angle, as do many CP artists. I did the pear blossoms piece at an angle and honestly, I did find that it lessened the strain on my wrist.
We have about the same amount of space but you are sooo much neater and more organized than I!
ReplyDeleteIt was my neck that got sore before I started using a slanted drawing board. Glad yours works for you :)
Just look at all that neatness. How can you work? lol I have a mess. I never use my drafting table. It doesn't fit in the room where my computer is. I end up drawing on a stiff piece of cardboard (off the back of a used up sketchpad). and propping it against the desk and my stomach.
ReplyDeleteI am not that neat, seriously. What I didn't photo is the "pile holder". It was a changing table in a former life, now it functions as a three shelf unit...covered in piles.
