Several years ago I met an artist online. I plied her with questions about colored pencils - and she very patiently answered them all. Despite my selfishness, we became friends. Through the portal of my monitor I have watched my friend and her family go through many things, bravely.
They are now in a very difficult fight - my friend's very young grandson is fighting for his life. They live very far away from me - I can't pick up the phone and call, I can't take a shift, clean, or drop by a meal. But, I can support and spread the word about an auction they are having.
