Do You Know the Name of This Flower?

I took these photos on my trip to CA this summer. Does anyone know the name of these flowers? I’ve put a sketch in my flower book and I’d really like to be able to include the name.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Rose, I'm not a flower person, but I think these are Black Eyed Susans. I sure like to look at them.

Jo, they were lovely, such a cheery flower.

Jill, thanks for seconding and stopping to comment.

Jeanne, lots of common names and colors for these apparently, thanks.

Anita, glad to know we have a techie with us!

Vivien, that's a great link, thanks.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help! You are all awesome.

Yep, the Maryland state flower. Reseeds like crazy, not originally native to the U.S. but still pretty. Survives amazing temperatures (it grows in the Sonoran desert), and a cut flower will last 6 to 10 days.
Great picture!
