Sepia Flowers and Ragweed

Daily Ink Number 8
mixed bouquet

I had hoped to have an oil to show you this morning. Sadly, it's ragweed season here in north Texas...the ragweed appears to be winning. I was in bed nice early with a novel.

This ink is from yesterday...I tried added a little pen last night to define things a bit more, didn't really help.

Rose, I like this a lot. I like the scratchy lines. Nifty.

Have you ever looked a Laurelines? I know we don't have time to look at more blogs, but you might like the looseness of her sketches. I hadn't looked at her blog in ages, the link was on one of my other computers.

Aw shucks, I forgot to say that I hope you feel better. My allergies are worse here than in Bastrop, go figure.

I really like it. It's got lots of life and sparkle and an fresh looseness. My sympathies to you on the allergy thing.... we're fighting it too here in rural Carolina. Was just thinking of making a nice cup of hot herbal tea sweetened with honey... somehow that always seems to soothe.

Jo, thanks. I do read Laurelines, in fact she was one of the main influences on me starting a blog. She did a post showing a watercolor of her living room from a year previous (beginning of blog) and then at the end of the year. As she said, the first one was pretty good, but the second one had that something extra. That's when I began to think that a blog would be the answer to my "how do I get better?" questions.

Teresa, thanks. It seemed to have no focus, but it was fun to slap around the ink. I'm not one for herbal teas, I'm a very boring black tea fan, but I do put honey and lemon in when I'm struggling (milk otherwise ;).
