Dani Draws Links

Pear Blossoms
work in progress, 7 in x 5in
colored pencil on Stongehenge Paper

Just a few quick links, then off to work.

I've heard about DaniDraws.com before, but I recently subscribed.

This week there was an article that encourages you to draw, Build a Drawing Catalog. The main audience there is clearly illustrators, but I don't think that it is necessarily a bad idea for those more oriented to fine art. Clearly, having such a "catalog" in one's mind would help when improvising a composition, changing what you see, and just generally helping you to be more creative. Recently, when I was trying out techniques, I very much wished that I could just "bang out" a few quick drawings and then play with techniques.

Another topic ever on the mind...personal style. Some Thoughts About Artist's Style is one of the best articles I've read on the subject!

This is looking really nice Rose! I especially like how you are carrying the color into the tree branch.

Thanks for the links to the interesting articles!
