Above you see a photo I was taking yesterday in my garden, our second rose of the season. I was so excited to figure out the macro settings on the camera. Then I was focusing on composition, visions of brush and ink drawings where dancing in my head. Later, when I downloaded them to the computer to get a better look, I noticed the hitchhiker. I never noticed him (or her) during the three or four shots I took! And artists are supposed to be able to really see...

Bugs...ewwwwwwwwwwww. That's the first thing I would have noticed, not being a bug fan.

I can't believe you have rose blooms already! They are beautiful, escpecially with the raindrops. I wouldn't have noticed the bug either. You inspired me to take pictures of our apple tree blossoms.
I have done that, too. One of turtles a week or so ago on my blog. More than I thought. Beautiful flower. :)
