I'm carrying on with the light-touch technique. As the blending works so much better that way, I decided to try a portrait. This is just a quick sketch from a Norman Rockwell portrait of Bob Hope. In the attempt to simplify my choices and focus on this, I used a palette suggested on
Wax Bloom by Steve Chipman, so the colors are not that close to Rockwell's original.

Thanks Steve, the drawing is a bit off (as you'll see in the next shot), but the skin tone worked nicely. Good palette :D.
It's done on bristol board smooth.
