A couple of months ago I was looking through our Audubon Field Guide and thought how neat it would be to come across some waxwings. They are such lovely birds. But I hadn't seen any here in the few years we've lived here. Then, one day on a walk I thought I saw one in a tree briefly. Later that week I sat down in my studio and looked out the window. Suddenly, there were waxwings all over the tree outside. These five were just one grouping.
It's so much fun to be an artist.
