This week, my first full week with the kids back in school, I worked on the above piece - from one of our sketching trips this summer. I'm so blessed that my sons love to draw - they loved taking their sketchbooks to museums, parks, and landmarks - and I loved seeing them get into it.
Don't forget if you are in the Raleigh area this weekend - the artist's reception is Friday night 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Science Museum. The art gallery is on the second floor of the gift shop. If you can't be there Friday, the exhibition will be there for a full month Sept 2 - Oct 2. Come and see colored pencil artwork from several talented artists!
